This full one-day tour treks all the way to the
tip of the Dampier Peninsular to the beautiful Cape Leveque
and back to Broome taking in all the sights you would want
to see.
The highlights include Beagle Bay Community and
its famous Church with the Pearl Shell
Altar. Here we stop for morning tea and
learn the history of the church and community. We then tour the
Beagle Bay Women's Art Centre for a close look at the work produced
by the local Aboriginal people.
We then journey further on to the very tip of the Dampier Peninsular
to the beautiful Cape Leveque. Stopping here to
enjoy our lunch overlooking the pristine beaches of Cape Leveque.
With plenty of time for a relaxing swim, beach walk, snorkelling,
and for the keen photographer an opportunity to capture the amazing
colours of this area.
On heading back to Broome we head over to One Arm Point
Community. This community sits on the eastern side of the
peninsular with a breathtaking view over King Sound and its many
islands. Here you see first hand the huge tides
ripping through the Sound and perhaps spot a Turtle or two, whilst
taking our afternoon tea break.
We then move over to visit our friends at the Trochus Shell Hatchery.
Joining our local Aboriginal Guides for an informative tour of the
interesting and colourful marine life of this region.
We finish off our day back on Broome's Cable Beach for our famous
sunset fish BBQ dinner.
